What’s a consultancy clinic?

A completely unique 4-hour or deep-dive innovation session

Participants collaborate on the challenge at hand as they strive to achieve a tangible goal (i.e. single customer view). Fuelled by the industries brightest minds, the format encourages an accelerated-thinking approach to insurance innovation and problem solving

Leveraging the ‘unconference’ format, on arrival invited participants will each volunteer a specific pain point (within the theme). The “Consultancy Clinic” group will then vote on which problem to tackle, before striving to do so as a team

Plus, while most hackathons are fuelled by pizza and caffeine, there’s no expense spared on the Consultancy Clinic team who will be treated to a three course lunch overlooking stunning views high up at Ting Restaurant, Shangri-La, The Shard

Why To Expect?

Based on the renowned ‘Sprint’ format, the Consultancy Clinic team undertake a high-speed process on innovation, including:

Structured Discussion to create a path for the “Consultancy Clinic,” the team must start at the end by agreeing the ultimate goal. What does success look like? What problem should the team solve?

Solutions: Each team member individually creates a rough ‘sketch prototype’ of their dream solution

Select and Storyboard: The team critiques the sketch prototypes and decides which one to progress, or which ones to combine and progress. The next step is to turn the sketch into a customer storyboard from discovery to use

Conclusion: The team discuss the validity of the developed solution. How does it compare to what exists? What are the main pitfalls and technical challenges to address?
